PARKS & RECREATION
A true recreational destination, Oliver boasts several parks and playgrounds, including a skateboard park. Oliver Community Park features an outdoor pool, sports fields, gyms and tennis courts to satisfy your recreational desires.
Batter Up! In Oliver the crack of the bat is a sweet sound. The community boasts a number of quality diamonds attracting college and semi-pro clubs to our fields each Spring and as the seasons progress, the diamonds just get livelier, with the Okanagan Major League Baseball camp having been held here each summer for over 20 years.
The half-Iron Man triathlon brings participants and spectators from all over in June to watch the competition on our new Olympic course.

Relax at our local beaches, take a float down Okanagan River, try canoeing and fishing and enjoy the wildlife that surrounds you. Oliver is a popular bird watching destination with wildlife reserves close by. Varying levels of hiking trails surround the area, some even along the winery corridor. In the winter take a short drive to Mt.Baldy and carve the powder while down hill skiing or snow boarding. If you want to explore the surrounding forests try snow shoeing or cross country skiing. Curling is a favorite local sport and watch out as toboggans and tubes go flying down Hospital Hill!
